MarketplaceUnder Development

Everything here shows its arithmetic.

Three things sit under this name. The social responsibility programme, directly below. Clearance, overstock and liquidation, where a discount is a calculation from a price that was actually charged, not a banner. And campaigns, products a manufacturer allocates so they reach further than its own channels. Each says which it is.

Social responsibility

One dollar.One product.One positive impact.

Business is not only buying and selling. It can also leave something good behind. Through Sooqban’s social responsibility programme, manufacturers and brands can make selected products available to people who can benefit from them, at special prices and, in selected programmes, for one dollar.

Business with purpose. Two smiles sit in our name. One for the business that gives, one for the person who receives.

Who it is for

  • Students

Selected products that help school students reach what they need, for less.

  • University students

The goods and resources a degree asks for, at a far lower cost.

  • Grandmothers and grandfathers

Selected products, under special conditions, for the elders of the community.

And others in the community who can benefit.

Deep discounts are ordinary in this trade: a line is discontinued, a buyer defaults, a warehouse has to be cleared before a lease ends. What is not ordinary is being able to check the claim. On a platform whose whole proposition is verified evidence, a percentage nobody can check would be the loudest thing on the site and the least trustworthy.

So the rule is mechanical: a discount is computed from a substantiated prior listed price, carrying the date it was listed at. A listing with no such price shows no discount at all, not a smaller one, none. That is enforced in the data model rather than left to whoever writes the listing.

Everything else about the Outlet is the Marketplace: the seller is a verified supplier, the goods are in a category you can browse, and the terms of sale are the seller’s own. The treatment is distinct because clearance buying is a different mood, not because the rules are looser.

No prior price
No discount is displayed. Not an estimate, not a recommended retail price. None
Who may sell here
A verified supplier, under the same verification rules as everywhere else

Parcels

Seven parcels, and what comes out of each.

Clearance does not arrive as a heading. It arrives as a pallet of something specific, from a warehouse that has to be empty by a date. These are the kinds of goods the Outlet is built around, and each parcel shows what one of them looks like when it lands.

How it works

  1. Browse by categoryThe same sectors as the Marketplace, so clearance stock sits where a buyer of that product would look.
  2. Read the arithmeticThe prior price, the date it was listed at, and the reduction computed between them.
  3. Check the seller as you would anywhereThe verification mark and the published audit report behind it are the same instrument here.
  4. Deal with the supplier directlyTerms, quantity and delivery are theirs. Sooqban is not a party to the sale.

Who this is for

  • A buyer who can take a full pallet of something specific at the right price.
  • A trader whose business is moving stock that somebody else needs gone.
  • A manufacturer clearing a discontinued line without emailing every contact they have.

Campaigns

Better access, through partnership.

Alongside clearance, the Outlet carries campaigns: products a manufacturer allocates so they reach people its own channels would not.

The arrangement is simple. A manufacturer puts selected products into a campaign. Sooqban presents that campaign with the product, the manufacturer, the quantity and the period it runs for, and the goods reach an audience wider than the manufacturer’s own channels.

It is deliberately not a discount scheme. A campaign has a defined product, a defined quantity, agreed terms and a period, so what was contributed and what became of it can both be stated afterwards, which a percentage off cannot.

Campaign purchasing is not open yet. What is open is participation: a manufacturer can put a business and a product set in front of the team now, and every campaign’s terms are agreed before it is published.

How a manufacturer takes part

  1. Introduce the businessRegister, and tell us the company, what it makes, and the products it would consider allocating.
  2. Agree the campaignProducts, quantities, quality requirements, the period and any cost each side carries are settled before anything is published.
  3. The campaign is publishedWith the product, the manufacturer, the quantity available and the period it runs for stated on its face.
  4. The result comes backWhere the platform holds the figures, a participating manufacturer is told how the campaign performed.

What participation includes

  • Brand exposure. The company and its brand shown on the Outlet and on the campaign’s own page.
  • Product promotion. Selected products presented to an audience wider than the manufacturer’s own channels.
  • A manufacturer profile. The company, what it can make and what it sells, on its Sooqban profile.
  • Business visibility. A presence across the platform rather than inside one campaign alone.
  • Campaign performance. The figures the platform holds, reported back where they exist.

Questions

Why not advertise the headline discount?

Because a 99%-off banner is read as a scam signal by exactly the professional buyers this platform is for, and on a site about verification it would undermine the rest of the page. The reduction is shown per item, as a calculation.

What stops a seller inventing the original price?

The prior price has to be one that was actually listed, with its date. Where there is none, the listing cannot display a discount at all, and that is enforced in the data model, not in a policy.

Are clearance and campaigns the same thing?

No, and they sit under one name deliberately. The owner’s call, 2026-09-21. Clearance is commercial: any buyer, stock that has to move, a discount computed from a real prior price. A campaign is products a manufacturer allocates to reach further. They share a place, not a mechanism, and each states which it is.
