Most counterparties are found somewhere other than a marketplace: at a trade show, through a contact, in a search result. The claim on a website is not evidence, and a company registration number printed on a quotation is a number until somebody reads the register it came from.
Where a public register exists, it is read and quoted back to you: the entity, its status, what it is licensed to do. Where one does not exist, or is not public, you are told that plainly rather than given a confident answer built on nothing. The limit of the check is part of the check.
This is not a Sooqban verification mark. The mark is a scored audit of a listed party, performed by an accredited inspection firm and published in full for anyone to read. This is a private report to you about a company that may never join the platform at all.
At a glance
- What is read
- Company registers and regulator registers, where they exist and are public
- What you receive
- A report that states what was found, what was not, and where it came from
- What it is not
- The Sooqban mark. That is a scored, published audit of a listed party
- If you want eyes on it
- An expert visit can be arranged as a separate step
How it runs
- Name the companyThe legal name, the registration number if you have it, and the country. A trading name alone makes the search longer and sometimes impossible.
- Say what you are about to rely onA licence, an export permit, a claimed certification, a factory address. The check is aimed at the thing your decision rests on.
- The registers are readAnd quoted: what the register says, as of when. Where nothing public exists, the report says so.
- You get the reportWhat you do with it is yours. Sooqban does not contact the company on your behalf unless you ask.
Who this is for
- A buyer about to send a deposit to a supplier met at a trade show.
- A company about to sign with a distributor whose licence it has never seen.
- Anyone who has been given a registration number and no way to check it.
Questions
Is this the same as your verification mark?
No. The mark is an accredited firm’s audit of a listed party, scored across seven categories and published in full. This is a private check on a company that is not listed here.
Can you check a company anywhere?
Where the country’s register is public, it is read. Where it is not, the report says what could not be checked rather than filling the gap with an assumption.
Does the company find out I asked?
Reading a public register does not involve them. If a visit or a direct approach is part of what you want, that is agreed with you first.
Register, and have it ready when you need it.
