Intellectual Property

What stays yours, the narrow permission you give us to show it, what belongs to Sooqban, and how to report an infringement.

Version
2026-09-draft-3
In force since
Not yet in force

This is an earlier version, kept so it can still be read.

A newer version has replaced it. Consent given to this version still points at these words, which is why they stay here exactly as they were.

Read the version in use now

This is a draft, and it is not in force.

It is published so it can be read and corrected before anyone is asked to rely on it. Nothing here binds you or us until a version is in force, and the version that is will say so here.

1. What you upload stays yours

Your photographs, product descriptions, logos, drawings, documents and company profile remain your property. Nothing here transfers ownership of anything.

You confirm that what you upload is yours to upload, that you hold the rights to any third-party material in it, and that publishing it does not infringe anyone.

2. The permission you give us, and its limits

You give Sooqban permission to host, store, display and format your content, so the platform can show it. That means your company profile, a category listing, a search result, a showcase, and the report of an audit where your content is part of the evidence.

That permission is limited to running the platform. It does not let Sooqban sell your content, license it to anyone else, use it in advertising for another company, or keep publishing it after you remove it. Beyond the copies in backups, which expire on their own schedule.

You can remove your content. Where a record must survive for a legal or evidentiary reason, an audit report is the clearest, that is described where it applies rather than hidden in a licence.

3. The audit report is public, and that is the point

If your company is audited, the report is published in full, free, at its own address. Including anything not awarded and the reason. That is the platform’s core proposition: a buyer who can read the evidence does not have to take a badge on trust.

You are told this before an audit is commissioned, not after it lands, and applying for one is agreeing to it. A report is a dated document: it carries its audit date and its expiry, and it is visibly marked when it is superseded or lapsed.

Commercially sensitive detail that serves no buyer, such as named customers, pricing and personal data, is redacted to a published standard rather than case by case.

4. What belongs to Sooqban

The Sooqban name, the mark, the platform, its software, its design, its written content and the verification standard belong to Sooqban or its licensors.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, sell or commercially exploit them without written permission. Referring to Sooqban, or stating that your company is verified here, is not exploitation. Describing a fact is allowed and encouraged.

A verification mark may be displayed by the company that holds it, for as long as it is current. Displaying an expired mark, or a mark your company does not hold, is a misrepresentation and is enforced as one.

5. Reporting an infringement

If something here infringes your rights, write to the address at the end of this page with:

  • Who you are and how to reach you.
  • What right you hold, and the evidence you hold it. A registration, a prior publication, an authority to act for the owner.
  • The exact page or listing, by its address.
  • What is infringing about it, in enough detail that we can see it.

6. What we do with a report

We review it, and where there is enough to act on we may remove or restrict the content, ask for more information, contact the other party, or restrict an account.

A report is not an automatic removal. A claim asserted confidently is still a claim, and removing on assertion alone would make this form a weapon against competitors.

The other party is told what was reported and can answer. If your content was removed and you believe that was wrong, write to us, with the reason, and a person will look at it again.

7. Repeated infringement

Where a company repeatedly or seriously infringes others’ rights, we may restrict or close its account, to the extent the law allows.

8. This policy does not replace the law

Nothing here limits a remedy available to you under intellectual-property law, and nothing here is a substitute for taking your own advice.
