Refund & Cancellation
Who owes a refund, and to whom. Published now so it is readable before anyone relies on it. Most of it applies when orders are placed through the platform, which they are not yet.
- Version
- 2026-09-draft-3
- In force since
- Not yet in force
This is an earlier version, kept so it can still be read.
A newer version has replaced it. Consent given to this version still points at these words, which is why they stay here exactly as they were.
This is a draft, and it is not in force.
It is published so it can be read and corrected before anyone is asked to rely on it. Nothing here binds you or us until a version is in force, and the version that is will say so here.
This applies when orders through the platform are switched on.
It is published in advance so you can read it before you would ever need to rely on it. Until then, the platform does not do what this document governs.
Contents
1. Where the money actually is
Sooqban does not take payment for goods or services traded between two businesses here. A buyer pays a supplier directly, on terms the two of them agreed.
That decides who owes a refund: the party who took the money. If you paid a supplier and something went wrong, the claim is against the supplier, under your contract and the law where the goods were sold. Sooqban cannot refund money it never held.
2. What you can ask Sooqban for
Where Sooqban charges you directly, a listing fee, a subscription, a platform service, you can ask us about that charge, and we will answer it. Those are the only amounts we can refund, because they are the only ones we receive.
3. The audit fee is not ours
A verification audit is performed by an independent accredited inspection firm, and the supplier pays that firm directly. Sooqban does not take the fee, hold it, or pass it on.
So a question about the audit fee, its amount, its scope, a refund of it, goes to the firm you engaged, under whatever you agreed with them. We will tell you that plainly rather than take a complaint we cannot resolve.
Sooqban is responsible for its own part. The report is published as promised, the score is worked out the way the published standard says, and an expired mark stops being shown as current.
4. Cancelling a request you made here
A request to Sooqban, a Trade Room case, a financing request, a support case, can be withdrawn by you at any stage, and withdrawing costs nothing.
A request we cannot help with is closed with a reason, rather than left open indefinitely.
5. When orders are placed through the platform
If ordering through Sooqban is introduced, this document becomes a new version that states plainly: who cancels, when a cancellation is still possible, who bears the cost of a return, and how a dispute is handled.
What will not change is the shape: Sooqban is not a party to the contract, and where a licensed payment provider holds funds, it is that provider, not Sooqban, that processes a refund.
6. Your rights under the law
Nothing here removes a right you hold under the law of the Sultanate of Oman, or under the law of the place where you are. Where that law gives you more than this document does, the law applies.
